Maim Series

by Vern Harrison

A Dark Old West Novel

The “Maim” series is a spinoff from the “Pursuit.” trilogy. When he tortured Maude to her death (in the final volume of the “Pursuit.” trilogy), Maim discovered his own sadistic erotic tendencies.

Volume #1
Maim; Defeat of the Grand Sand Spirit

In this “Maim” series, Maim traipses about the western lands (late 1800s in the western USA) to become more familiar with his newly revealed and tenacious proclivity. The series volumes showcase the sadistic side of Maim's nature. His kindness and consideration of others' feelings affect his actions, of course, but the sadism and joy of torture are prominent.

Maim adopts the M.Sharp identity that Maude had developed as an anonymous assassin who never misses a shot at their target. He also acquired her businesses in the fictional town of Tuscanito.

Maim befriends Goat, a person who spontaneously ejaculates when he hears about or imagines a person involuntarily being pained. Maim has stories for him, including about the trilogy Maude (not the series Maude, who you will get introduced to near the end of the first volume of the series), who Goat had worked with. Goat is the telegraph operator at the railroad water tank near the fictional town of Tuscanito. Goat is key to message delivery for M.Sharp.

(Note: This series contains many incidents of immobilizing someone and intentionally paining them for the torturer's joy or erotic sensations. Generally, but not always, it is a slow torture to death. The point of the “Maim” series is to deliver torturing and torture-to-death scenes for folks who wish to read those kinds of stories.)

Volume #2
Maim; Revenge Hunt

It is intended that each volume of the series involves M.Sharp.

Maim had some experience with theater. His talent at emulating different personalities is prominent in each series volume. The personas Maim is expert with maintaining are:

Rita: A sensible young woman who seems to naturally move and act in ways that stir up the erotic juices of observers.

Frank: A no-nonsense young man who never removes his hat. The man is a good shot and persuasive.

Emma: A young woman who insists on freedom to act as she pleases. She goes barefoot whenever she can get away with it. Her clothes may be torn or dirty, but she doesn't care. She would rather bop around without clothes, actually, but she also doesn't want others to instruct her how to behave.

All of Maim's personas are inclined to torture whenever and wherever such is or seems to be appropriate.

Sadi meets Maim in the first volume of the series, and they remain close friends. So long as Sadi exists. Sadi is as sadistic as Maim is. As Sadi suggested, they are Maim the Maimer and Sadi the Sadist. But she has a special request, one that Maim agrees to. The request is the reason she approached Maim in the first place. She has a masochistic wish. She wants Maim to, sometime between this instant and many years in the future, torture her long and slow, as painfully as he can devise, until she dies. The third series volume is being written with that torture described.

The siblings, Menno and Maude (not the Maude in the earlier trilogy), were introduced at the end of the first series volume. They, too, become companions of Maim. Later, at their request, they become slaves owned by Maim.

Something else you might enjoy is the various lengths of the chapters. While they are all a nice read, some chapters are twice as long as others. There is nothing boring about this series (I hope).

Like the trilogy this series spun off from, the series is set during the late 1800s in the western USA.
